In my group, we drew an "Engineering Discipline" out of a hat, which was electrical engineering which we focused on for our mini-project. We worked in pairs at our table, but both pairs at our table focused on the same "Engineering Discipline.
Goals
Create an animation, game, or interactive story that relates to our "Engineering Discipline."- Electrical Engineering (It can be fun or goofy. Just make sure it accurately relates to your discipline, and that your audience is learning something about engineering.)
Use multiple "Sprites" and "Scripts" in our Scratch project.
Make sure we included a "thank you" to the engineers in our assigned "Engineering Discipline."
Have Fun, Learn, and Teach.
Process and What I learned
For this project, we had to learn how to tell "sprites" how to do something using icons in scratch. We watched videos on how to do this and practiced along the way. I learned how to computer program on scratch, a way to program online without needing anything but your computer and imagination. When on scratch, you can create anything you want like a video or game. The options are endless!
Reflection
I feel that my strength was putting my time and energy into it because I used a lot of break and lunchtime working on it. One of my challenges was getting the project done in time because we were unfinished until the due date(even though I spent hours working on it).
