What I learned |
Three things I learned about Ancient Egypt are; they valued the Gods, religion, and the afterlife. Three things I learned about Ancient China are The Three Perfections: calligraphy, painting and poetry. It is important to recognize the influences of advertising and the media because they affect your daily life. I learned some new vocabulary such as the word, "deities" which is another word for Egyptian Gods or Goddesses. During "Draw like an Egyptian," I learned that Ancient Egyptians made graphing lines like graph paper before they painted the pictures because they believed however you were deceived in the paintings was how you would look in the afterlife. For example, if you were drawn with four fingers, you would have four fingers in the afterlife. During the exhibition, I practiced skills such as public speaking.

Reflection |
I enjoyed this project because I got to learn much more about Ancient China and Egypt, and I also loved that we could also write and express ourselves through our writing. My favorite part of this project was making my Ancient Chinese fan because mine took the longest to make, but it stood out to the others. I did not have a least favorite part in this project. I think I did well on this project and am happy with my performance because I did my best. One thing I could do better next time is make my Ancient Egypt picture more detailed because mine took two minutes to complete other than twenty. I am most proud of my Ancient Chinese fan because I think it looks beautiful. I would not want to change a thing about this project.
