Project Description As a student at HTMCV, how have I made my mark thus far? What are the great lessons I have learned and what advice do I have for my future self? As our class traveled on the streets from 6th grade to 7th, and now from 7th to 8th, what are the tales we have to tell, the stories that have been hidden in the shadows, and then brought to light.
In this project, we explored the underground world of street art & graffiti with the ancient Japanese art form of Shadow Puppetry. We created fables that told the tales of our journeys and the lessons we have learned. We collaborated with HTMCV Engineers and Artists in an “Exploratory Exploration” of past, present, future, creating projects of light and dark, shadow and story, footprints and steps forward. |
“Giant stickers are both embraced and rejected, the reason behind which, upon examination, reflects the psyche of the viewer. Whether the reaction be positive or negative, the sticker’s existence is worthy as long as it causes people to consider the details and meanings of their surroundings in the name of fun and observation.”
