The night we went to the Monterey Bay pier, my friend Marissa and I went to go have clam chowder in a bread bowl at a restaurant. The man sitting behind Marissa was very rowdy and kept shouting "WOOOOOOO!" At the top of his lungs to the point where we would jump. He was probably drunk. He eventually tapped on Marissa’s shoulder and asked us what we were eating. When he saw the bread bowl, he gave an insulting expression about the amount of carbohydrates we were eating. (We didn’t even eat the bowls). After that, he introduced himself as an ‘authentic redneck from Arkansas who flew to California for the first time on a private jet with the US military’- Yes, he showed us pictures. Marissa and I were mostly weirded out by the situation, especially since he asked us if we wanted to film him eating oysters for the first time and post it on Youtube for him. This man was very weird, but it was memorable because his first and last impressions on us were his "WOOOOOO!"
As for the schools go, this is my rating of them, greatest to least:
For a reflection, the price of the schools changed my perspective on how I want to go about a career. My dad is 45 and still paying off college debt from going to UCSD. Maybe I should go to my local community college or state for my GED to save some money, then transfer. But now days, you don’t need a college education to be successful, and I’m starting to understand how hard it is to go that route without the connections you make in college. It’s scrambled my possible paths, and I have about a year to decide my fate.
